Vincent Bernay is a French singer / songwriter who blends acoustic folk with blues and new age music in a uniquely continental way. I discovered him while searching for Medieval music of all things in Rhythmbox. Bernay’s album “Etincelle” comprises ten tracks of some deeply relaxing music; just the thing to wind down after a hectic day. The problem I find with a lot of this sort of music however is that it can become monotonous and boring. So how does Bernay’s offering hold up?

All:My:Faults - Secrets
I fist discovered All:My:Faults while stumbling around the Jamendo website. The track I listened to, “Taste These Forbidden Fruits And They’ll Do You Much Worse Than Just Throwing You Out Of Paradise”, from the first.aid.killed.the.jerboa single was instantly memorable, combining heavy industrial beats with guttural metal screams and throwing in a bizarre mix of 8-bit electronica which gelled perfectly. Naturally I was expecting more of the same from the full length album “Secrets”, and so I was slightly disappointed on first listening. However, subsequent listenings proved the album to be a ‘grower’
