Stuff I'm into right NowBooksNeuromancer: I'm rereading this at the moment, in anticipation of getting my grubby paws on his new book, Pattern Recognition. I notice somethig new every time I read this. Dune: I reread this and Dune Messiah over the last few weeks, for the parallels between it and the situation in the Middle East, but I really got bored during Dune Messiah. I'll go back and read the rest of the books soon, though. Musicthe Transplants: Just heard one of their songs so far, called Diamonds and Guns. A good punk/rap crossover OK Go:Again, I just heard one of their songs so far, this time called Get over it. A decent funky/rock type thing, reminds me a little bit of Beck, though i can't tell why. GamesMechCommander: Replaying this RTS at the moment, set in the MechWarrior/Battletech universe. It's bloody hard at points, but a lot of fun. Videos/DVDsSpider-Man: i was watching this last night with the main commentary track on, some interesting stuff, but I think there were five or six people in on it, maybe too many. Babylon 5 season 1: I got this when it came out, and still haven't watched all the episodes, but I'm in the mood to check it out again soon. TVBuffy/Angel: I'm watching these at the moment, but they're not really clicking with me as previous seasons did. I'm not sure why, the story arcs have both been impressive and the cast are on top form. Still, I think I'm getting a little bit bored. I'm glad this is Buffy's last season. Cowboy Bebop: One of the most Impressive Anime series ever, this follows a bunch of luckless bounty hunters as they go accross the solar system trying to make some cash, but inevitably failing. An excellent mix of pathos, drama, comedy and action. |
